• Water is supplied by the City of Kimball. There are 3 wells located north of Kimball. They are approximately 250 feet deep into the Ogallala Aquifer. The capacity of the water plan is 3,000 gals/min, with an average consumption of 850,000 gals/day and a peak consumption of 2,000,000 gals/day. Storage capicity is 1,000,000 gals with a hardness of 224. The temperature of the water is 52-54 degrees. The water is tested weekly for coliform and various other minerals. The water has had no nitrate problems that are associated with other agricultural communities. The water is pure and tastes great!
