12-28-99--sally kimballm, pomfret center CT, USA, rkimball04@snet.net, Comments: I checked out the web site. Very interesting. I work at a private school in Connecticut. I was looking at the map today wondering if there was any place in the United States called Kimball, as that is my last name, through marriage. I found Kimball Nebraska. By the sounds of the web site , you have a beautiful city. The site has a lot of information. If you are interested in the part of CT I'm at, check out the web site www.Pomfretschool.org There are nice pictures of the Pomfret area. Hope you enjoy Pomfret as much as I did Kimball Nebraska!

12-28-99--Gordon Buckle, Scottsbluff NE, USA, gbuckle@actcom.net, Comments: Hi Guys, How is everything going? See you one of these days.

12-20-99--Rod & Laura Richter (65 & 67), South Whidbey Island, Washington, rlrjr@homegarden.com, Comments: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all in Kimball. We certainly enjoy the Holidays where we live now, but always nice to think about Christmases past in Nebraska and Colorado. We enjoy visiting the Kimball web site and do so regularly. Go Huskers!

12-20-99--Jim & Shirlee Jessop, Vinton, Iowa-52349, TwoOleUtes@cs.com, Comments: Jim was born and raised in Potter and we still have relatives around the area. We like this web site because it keeps us in touch with people and weekly news. We try to get there every year or so, but this is a great connection for us in the mean time. Thank you and keep up the good work.

12-17-99--Luther S. Wilson, Kennewick, WA, ludia@owt.com, Comments: Dear Kimball folks: I enjoyed my brief stay at a nice motel on far west of town. That was May 99, prior to that my last time in town was Dec 1954. I am curious about the diesel power plant, is it still working? I am in agriculture (seasonal potato and cherry inspector). I wish you well in hard times now in farming. US 30 would make a great historical tour corridor. Any websites on that? Yours truly Luther S. Wilson

12-14-99--Harold Weinbender, Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada S0N 1A0, hweinbender@swt.sk.ca, Comments: I was just searching the web when I came upon your sight by recognizing the name "Weinbender".

11-10-99--Hillevi Gustafsson, Sweden, hillevi.g@telia.com, Comments: Hi Kimball folks! Something great happened to me! you see I use to be an exchange student at the Randall family in -85`, and this fall my American mother Jerrene came to visit in Sweden. We had a great time, she is just as wonderful as always!!! Now I'm just waiting for "the rest" to come... Love, Hillevi

11-10-99--Pat Wacha, Clarkson, Nebraska, USA, pjwacha@megavision.com, Comments: People really read this comment space, don't they? I registered a week or so ago and got a reply from a woman who knows our neighbor. The same day, I received an e-mail from a soldier stationed in Bosnia, Sgt. Bill Enlow. He said his aunt and grandmother live in Kimball. He didn't give their names, but his e-mail address in Bosnia is: benlow68@yahoo.com Maybe someone might like to drop him a line, since he is like many soldiers. Mail call is rather skimpy at times.

11-10-99--Chuck Allen, Denver, CO, http://www.du.edu/~callen/, callen@du.edu, Comments: *** KIMBALL ALUMNI *** Visit the KIMBALL ALUMNI PAGE to find over 200 of your friends and classmates. Don't forget to ADD your name to the list. Just click here: http://www.du.edu/~callen/kchs_addresses.html //Chuck

11-9-99--Jug Eastman, Westminster, CO, eastmanjug@aol.com, Comments: Our Mom, Elizabeth is a resident of Vista Villa. We six brothers could not be happier that she is there with an extended family that cares as much about her as we do. She has the freedom to do exactly as she wants, but the ease of being able to do so without being overloaded. This forum does not permit me to say everything I would like about Vista Villa, so I would encourage anyone whose Mom and Dad might be looking for a simpler lifestyle than the ancestral home to read everything on this web site, and also feel free to contact me. Am I unbiased? No- I am very biased. Get hold of me to find out why! I will do my best to answer all your questions. Jug Eastman

11-3-99--Pat Wacha, Clarkson, NE, USA, pjwacha@megavision.com, Comments: Nice page, who ever designed it! Husband and I live next door to Del and Virginia Nelson, former residents of Kimball. If you have any more nice people like the Nelsons, send them here!

11-2-99--Steven & Jan (Reichert) Janibagian, Kent, WA, USA, sjdj@aol.com, Comments: Jan and I missed the All Class Reunion this summer, much to our dismay. We had to choose between the reunion and the last Sturgis rally of the millennium. Needless to say the Harley's rolling thunder called to us. We truly regretted not seeing everyone but it is good to read the guest book entries from so may old friends. We hope they are all well.

10-31-99--Glenn P Blum, Killeen Texas, USA, kd5dga@surfamerica.net, Comments: My friend, Leonard Caldwell, grandson of Floyd Soule, Would like any old friends or family to contact him at (254)690-7201 or at Leonard Caldwell 1509 Redondo dr. Killeen TX 76541 at this time Mr. Caldwell does not have a e-mail address but all inquires will be directed to him through my e-mail address. Glenn Blum

10-29-99--Curtis Ruwe, Hooper, Nebraska, USA, Comments: Great Site! I enjoyed taking the tour of Kimball via the World Wide Web. I've had the opportunity to know Brock Wentz for the past 6 years and now I know the neat community he came from a little better.

10-29-99--Travis Pritchett, Grant, Nebraska, USA, Comments: I know Jim Barrett and he is a fine representative of Kimball. All small towns need more people like Jim. Grant is well known for their basketball teams, but it doesn't rival the highest point in Nebraska, or "Missile Center, USA."

10-20-99--Jody [Crocker] Mccloud, Kimball Ne, U.S.A., mccloud@megavision.com, Comments: I'm still in Kimball. Been married for 17 years. We have a 71/2 year old daughter, Melissa. I still work at the store. Been there 11 years now. Class of "81"

10-19-99--Rollie Hager, Kimball, NE, USA, rdhager@megavision.com, Comments: What a great Web Page. Very interesting to read and quite enjoyable. Bill as usual you have done a very good job. Ann & I moved here almost 14 years ago. We now have 2 children--Tori and Brooke. Rollie & Ann Hager

10-19-99--Eugenia D Carpenter, Greenville, South Carolina, United States, justeugenia@yahoo.com, Comments: For a typical city girl, this was very interesting. It lets you know, that there is a totally different type of living even within the United States. I never realized how much there was to farming and ranching. I have a whole new perspective, when I hear the word elevator.

10-11-99--Lew Corvene, Hudson, Florida, USA, ldc921@earthlink.net, Comments: It is very friendly of you to have your own website and to invite us to stop by for a visit. We may just do that (in the summer, of course).

10-11-99--Kenneth Goins, Cumberland, Ky, USA, kgoins1@prodigy.net, Comments: Hi Kimball!! It has been many years since I lived there but your wonderful town and state left a lasting impression with me. If anyone there remembers me, I would sure like to hear from you. My younger brother Charles married Beverly Kuhlman. I would like to hear from you all because I really thought a lot of the Kimball people. Email me anytime. Thanks!!

10-7-99--Becky Bohac Bowser, Crown Point, Indiana, bowser@pla-net.net, Comments: Wow! It has been a long time since I have visited Kimball's web site. Found my note from March 1997. This is quite an improvement and it was great then. All class reunion was great enjoyed seeing old friends. If anyone out there knows me or will admit to it, drop me an e-mail.

10-6-99--Roxann McCormick, Kimball, Nebraska, USA, mccorm@megavision.com, Comments: My husband and I visited Kimball last year and feel in love with this town and the people here. He requested a transfer on his job here and have never regretted the move. This is a beautiful town with friendly people and the kind of town I was raised in. It's almost like coming home.

10-5-99--margaret baltensperger, kimball, ne, kimball, marbalt@megavision.com, Comments: This is neat. aaaaanyone can drop me an e- mail. This computer is still confusing to me but maybe some day. any-one from class of 63-or 64 drop me a e-mail. plus any one else "margie" margaret baltensperger.

10-2-99--Gayle Gillming, Bushnell, NE, USA, grammy_g@excite.com, Comments: Been here 3 months.

10-2-99--Dee (Juelfs) Killham, Kimball, NE 69145, USA, edndee@megavision.com, Comments: Hi to all of you: It has been so much fun to read about so many of you I know, and some I even had in school when I was substituting. This is a great way to read about people we haven't heard from for so long. Keep up the writing. Kimball is a good place to live, I've been here almost 40 years!! Dee Killham

10-1-99--Brenda and Jim, Millboro, SD, millboro@gwtc.net, Comments: I found your sight to be so true. My husband and I were traveling through on our way to Cheyenne and couldn't go any farther, we were tired! So we stopped in Kimball and met one of your residents, and Mr. Brown. He said he was a city father or commissioner or something like that, anyway we needed a place to stall our horse for the night and had asked 2 people before him if there was a sale barn in town. They looked at us like we were from outer space. "You know a sale barn where they sell cattle and horses and stuff". Well this Mr. Brown at first thought we wanted to "sell" a horse and we had said "stall" a horse. Anyway he finally figured out what we were looking for and told us we could leave our horse at the Fair grounds overnight and he would be fine there. Then he directed us to the Kimball Hotel for a good nights sleep and there is a really nice place right next door for breakfast. We had a good stay in Kimball and want to thank Mr. Brown for his help. I wish there were places on the Interstate that tell where you can stall a horse for the night, just like they tell where the rest rooms are and eating places and motels, for those of use who travel with horses it would help out alot, but so do good people like Mr. Brown

Thanks Kimball, Nebraska.

PS would you send this to the local paper, I would appreciate that.

Thanks again,

Ms. James Hofeldt

Millboro, SD

8-30-99--Deborah Crago, Broomfield, CO, US, debbie-m@city.ci.arvada.co.us, Comments: My husband and I were coming up to Cabella's from Colorado and decided to go to an auction in Potter. I was gabbing and missed the turnoff and we ended up in Kimball. We fell in love with your community. I had been thinking about "semi-retirement" for about a year, so when I had a particulary stressful day at work (again!), we came back up to look at houses. We recently contracted for a home and plan on moving to Kimball October 1st. I have been in Colorado (Boulder and Broomfield) all of my life, and this has been a very hard decision. Reading all the kind thoughts about Kimball has reassured me that I have made the right choice. My husband and I are avid pool players (I competed in Nationals this past July) and I know that APA (American Poolplayers Association) is not yet available in your region. Do you have any information about Valley Leagues, Billiards Congress of America, or Western Billiards? Knowing we can find a pool league might help ease this transition. Looking forward to a day on the lake and an evening on my new front porch. See you in October!

7-10-99--TOM O'BRIEN, ST. LOUIS, MO, Tomsings98@aol.com, Dear Kimball, Well, you did it again! Congrats and thanks to everyone involved in putting together the All Class Reunion! I had a wonderful time meeting people, golfing, singing, golfing, reminiscing, and golfing.

Did I mention the golfing? I haven't played so much in years, and probably won't again until next time I'm home. In fact, I'm still a little sore from all that swinging. The course is beautiful as ever, and the prices are unbelievable!

I had a great time helping to put on the musical retrospective portion of the program Saturday night. Even with little time for rehearsal we pulled it off. I really appreciate all the nice comments from everyone who I talked to. Once again, the people of Kimball have proven to me that there are no better audiences anywhere. I look forward to my next trip home more and more each time I'm there. Once again, thanks Kimball!!!

7-9-99--LeeAnn (Russell) Gray-Hubbard, Laramie, Wyoming, leeanngh@cyberhighway.net, Comments: To the class of 1980. Anybody working on our 20 year reunion. Take care everyone.

I moved with my family to Oregon when I was fourteen. (1972) I have been wanting to get back to Kimball, and when I saw this site and all the great pictures, I felt like I was home again. Would one of the ladies pictured in the photo happen to be Mrs. Pyle? My third grade teacher. If so, I'm sorry that I accidentally knocked you down on the playground. Thanks for a great trip down memory lane!

6-12-99--Floyd G Hein Jr., Morrill Ne. 69358, usa, pokey7@actcom.net, Comments: I am a 1974 graduate of kchs. It was the best years of my life in Kimball. The feeling I get when I drive thru town oh what a glorious feeling that is. I will always love my alma mater at dear old kchs. 4-28-99--Betty Schwartz, Mustang, Ok, okscoutmom@hotmail.com, Comments: Sure is neat to be able to read about Kimball, and to show my children a little about where I grew up. I haven't got to go home much since I first left in 80 to go to college, and now that Mom and Dad(Gordon and Wilda Buckle), have become snowbirds and are traveling, I don't know when I might get to show my kids my hometown. I just heard about the reunion a week or so ago; I sure would love to come home and play my clarinet in Harry's band again. Mr. McNees- If you see this; I sure enjoyed being one of your students and appreciated everything you taught us, and really miss you and the band(marching, pep, etc.)! I don't know if I miss running the music library though! Don't think I'll be able to make it to the reunion; 5 kids and too many Cub Scout meetings make it rough to get anywhere sometimes! I'm going to put it on the possibility list; and in the meantime I sure would love to hear from some of my old friends and the whole crew of 1980 and the surrounding years. Really do miss the mellow pace of growing up in Kimball.

4-23-99--Inge Lockwood, Johnstown, Colorado, USA, dilockwood@uswest.net, Comments: In light of the recent tragedy at Columbine High School, I wanted to express how grateful I am that my girls, Jessica and Jamie Stander were raised in a town as great as Kimball. I want to say a public THANK YOU to the teachers, friends, friends' parents, bosses, everyone that impacted my children's lives in such a positive way. To everyone everywhere - Hug your kid, let them know that they are loved. And that doesn't just apply to your own children. We all have nieces and nephews, babysitters, neighbor kids, etc. It's up to everybody, not just parents, to guide our children. I had friends and co-workers affected by this senseless incident, but as I see it, the entire country was affected, also. It's up to each and everyone of us to do what we can to see that this doesn't happen again. Again, THANK YOU, KIMBALL.

4-22-99--Darrell & Teresa Fischer, Yuma, Arizona, USA, KC7ZMQ@cybertrails.com, Comments: Sunny Greetings to our many friends in Kimball. We still think about the many good times at the old "Dog & Suds" Drive-In across from Gotte Park. If memory serves me correctly, the 4 class reunion in 1977 was our biggest day of business in the 5 years that we had the restaurant. We still have a copy of our last menu, as a reminder of the "good old days", hanging in our garage as a conversation piece.

Kimball can be very proud of it's accomplishments and we would like to compliment everyone involved with putting the web site together, on a terrific job well done.

Sincerely, Darrell & Teresa Fischer

1-23-99--Larry Butler, Charleston, South Carolina, Dixie!, kn4im@nations.net, Comments: I was born and raised in a small dairy farming town called Moravia in upstate NY. I stumbled upon Kimball's web page tonight while searching for "antique tractors" and ended up watching your Farmer's Parade. Looking at the crowd along the parade route took me back to Moravia, which I'm sad to say, has been gobbled up by greed and a NY State Prison. I'm certainly glad places like Kimball and Broken Bow still exist. I've been thoroughly fascinated thumbing through the real estate office's web pages looking at 4 bedroom old homes for less than $30K. $30K buys you a lot with NO HOUSE in Charleston!

My best wishes to Kimball and the surrounding communities on their web connections and to all the seniors keeping a close eye on those painters at the new senior housing center. I wish you all the best, and thank you all for a wonderful evening....cruising a small town named Kimball!
