I wish the map were clearer. My eyes aren't as young as they used to be. See you soon ! 08-08-06--Wilbur & Alta Hester, Danville Arkansas, USA, e-mail: wlh@arkwest.com, Comments: We have lived in Arkansas for the past 25 years, I am originally from Texas, I am a retired Environmental Manager and my wife is a Nurse, we are looking for a retirement location and Kimball looks very good. 07-21-06--Richard R. Dye, Mount Airy, MD, rickdye@yahoo.com, Comments: My wife and I were both missileers in the late 80s and drove through (or past) Kimball many times to get to Kilo, Lima, and Charlie Launch Control Facilities. We were discussing whether the missile was always at the park or used to be somewhere else. I think we ended up agreeing that it was always in the park, but used to have all of it's stages. Anybody know what happened to it? We had a great time visiting the park as we drove through town on vacation. Thanks for the memories!! 07-14-06--D "Bill" Beach, California, USA, dbb@castles.com, Comments: Am looking forward to visiting and maybe retiring in Kimball. Have been doing a lot of research and this place, seems like it might just be a 'diamond in the rough.' D. Beach, former SQ CCPOA Chapter President. Any other CCPOA retired members or CALPers folks in KIMBALL? Please let me know. Many of our CCPOA members have to retired to places like Reno, FLA and Las Vegas, however, on my recent trip of Nevada, I came across several of our retired brothers. One was running a hotel new Tonopah, NV and the other was working at a gas station in lonely Gerlack, NV (pop 250). They both were happy and as we say, "That's what I'm talking about!" 07-13-06--Brooke Shutts Makowsky, Midland TX, USA, brookemakowsky@yahoo.com 07-08-06--Troy Hill, Tecumseh Michigan 49286, USA, t_hill_12@hotmail.com, Comments: hey i love to read this because i lived there for a long time so i can kept up on my friends in sports and how the town is doing thanks 07-02-06--Jack C. Richland Hills, TX, USA, j-kimball@sbcglobal.net 06-15-06--Janet Bruce, North Hollywood, CA 91602, USA, grayladies@aol.com, Comments: I spent a week in and around Kimball a few years ago, looking up some of my family history. I am related to the Eichenberger family. I would like to return sometime in the second half of August, and look through genealogical records, court records, and library records. How can I go about finding out whether someone from the local genealogical or historical society would be available to give me access to the town records that are not otherwise available in the library or in the court building. At the same time, I should ask if the library and court building are open during that time. Thank you very much for your help. 06-14-06--Jennifer Baker, Swainsboro, GA, freebaker2002@yahoo.com, Comments: Hey ya'll!! I'm still in Georgia and still lovin' it!! This was a major undertaking for law enforcement across the USA. Well done. And remember, we'll NEVER forget the fallen officers. It was nice to say I have made both points as traveling through to Scottsbluff this past weekend 4-16-06; however; the metal sign as you cross the cattle guard was missing making it a bit difficult to find the point for someone whom is not use to the area. (just thought I would let you know for future visitors) 04-15-06--Chuck Allen, Centennial, CO, callen@du.edu, Comments: If you are a graduate or former student of KCHS (KHS), please join your friends and find your classmates on the Alumni page. http://www.megavision.net/kimballalumni/ See you there... Oh, the memories!! 03-31-06--Steve Siegfried, Gering, NE, USA, ssiegfried@scottsbluff.org, Comments: Hi. My name is Steve Siegfried and I am with the Scottsbluff Police Department. On May 20th 2006, COP ON TOP is scheduled to climb the highest point in every state. This will be done by have representatives in every state make the trek to each states highest point. In Nebraska, Panorama Point is the spot to reach. With that in mind, myself and others will make the walk to Panorama Point on the 20th of May. Should be an exciting time. If anyone else would like to show up on that day, it would be appreciated. See you then. It seems like a wonderful town. I grew up in a small town in Cuba and know what that life is like. I found the web page very interesting and well prepared. I hope the Marine is going to be OK and will get to return home soon. I send thru his family my must heart felt thanks for his selfless service. In one of the links I was able to read about the census and make up of the population of Kimball, and was surprised to find that one of the inhabitants considered him or herself Cuban. I would love to know the story of how this Cuban ended up in Kimball Well, saludos from Miami and good luck 03-22-06--Mary E. We are in the "getting started" stage of our 30th class reunion. Looks like Farmer's Day 2006. We will be looking for all updated class info, email addresses and such. Please forward what you can. Also a note to Scott Sample from the January entry. If your Grandparents were Lloyd and Mary Russell, I grew up in their neighborhood and most likely played with you as a child. Did you grow up in Chappell? 01-25-06--Troy Fritsche, Fountain, Colorado, United States, fritty5@msn.com, Comments: Love the web site. I've been trying to take my children to Farmers Day over the last few years, never made it. I hope when I get them there, they will have as much fun as I did. I also hope they stay out of trouble unlike me. Thanks so much for the site.
